Having spent three years in the Kansai region of Japan teaching English to both adults and children, Peter and his wife Janet decided they would love to give more Japanese students the opportunity to learn the English language. As a result they decided to set up Foxhill Homestay in a purposely-designed barn conversion in Howgill Lane, Gisburn.
Students staying at Foxhill are able to experience the way of life in the Ribble Valley whilst at the same time practising their English language skills. The students are taught up to 12 hours of English each week and spend the remainder of their time participating in a wide range of activities where they are able to practise using their English in real-life situations. Foxhill Homestay comprises four comfortable and attractively furnished bedrooms capable of providing accommodation for up to eight students at a time. Students can also take advantage of the special features of Foxhill including a spa bath, under floor heating and a traditional wood burning stove. When these facilities are not being fully utilised by the students they are available for Bed and Breakfast accommodation. For more information regarding Foxhill Homestay please call Peter or Janet on 01200 415906 or visit their website at www.foxhillhomestay.co.uk
