Farmhouse Fare started as a prestigious outside catering company operating from a converted barn at Shuttleworth Farm where Managing Director, Helen Colley, grew up. To create top quality food, traditionally made using the finest ingredients, has always been the company’s aim.

In 1998, Helen and her team held a charity coffee morning for Macmillan Nurses. The stall selling Helen’s Sticky Toffee Pudding was a complete sell-out and the phone lines were hot in the following weeks with requests for more. To satisfy these new customers, Helen began to sell the product in delis and farm shops and then approached Booths Supermarkets for a listing. Farmhouse Fare was soon sending Sticky Toffee Pudding deliveries to all Booths’ stores across the North West of England.

Farmhouse Fare Ltd is now a well-respected player in the food retail world, operating from a 33,000 sq ft purpose built BRC Grade A level accredited kitchen on the outskirts of Clitheroe. Tradition runs deep in this part of the North and HQ Anderson House is named after Helen’s great-great grandmother Janet Anderson, who features on all the packaging, photographed spinning wool.

With a portfolio of 24 brand traditional hot puddings, 5 brand chilled lines and 30 own label products, including organic variations, the company now supplies ALDI, ASDA, Booths Supermarkets, Budgens, Costco, Makro, Morrisons, Ocado, Sainsburys, Selfridges, Somerfield, Tesco and Waitrose. Their biscuits and traybakes can also be found in Waitrose cafes.

New product development is very strong at Farmhouse Fare Ltd, with new ideas and recipes constantly on the go. Recent additions to the range include Fudge Pudding, Summer Fruit sensations, Crumbles, Granolas, Streusel, Triple Chocolate Orange and ‘dinkie’ delights. There’s a pudding to suit every mood, occasion or indulgence!
