Long Ghyll is a genuine traditional farm selling high quality tasty meats and produce with the ease of delivery that modern day living dictates. The farm is called Long Ghyll and the shopping tradition is called FarmHouseDirect.

FarmHouseDirect supplies a full range of traditional meats and foods from the countryside with convenience to match the varying life style of its customers.

They range includes Beef from their own Highland Cattle and Bleasdale Lamb. All their lambs are reared naturally and grass fed on their own hill farm on the ‘Bleasdale Estate.’

T he lambs are grazed on upland pastures along side our highland cattle and can therefore take advantage of the better sweeter grasses made available. The beef carcasses are hung for between two and three weeks and the lamb carcasses for 7 – 10 days in the traditional way before being butchered and then packed in vacuum packs in our own purpose built facility here on the farm.

Venison comes from local Estates, they also stock the famous Goosnargh Duck and home made sausages. They stock a selection of wonderful packs, which are ideal for the freezer or an ideal way of sampling some of the finest meat products.
