Butlers have been making cheese at the family Dairy in the lush green pasturelands of Lancashire for over 70 years. As a family and a company Butlers are committed to maintaining a tradition of quality; a philosophy which dictates each stage of the cheese making process from sourcing the finest local milk, to the time we allow our cheese to breathe and mature.   Their recipes have been handed down through the generations and all our cheeses are made and turned completely by hand. Every cheese is given the time it needs to mature naturally to the peak of perfection.

If you are a lover of good cheese, you will find lots of information about their excellent, award-winning cheese on their website to whet your appetite. As well as regional varieties such as Tasty Lancashire, Double Gloucester and Red Leicester, they also make their own unique blue cheese called Blacksticks Blue. They also produce a range of fresh and Brie style cheese at their Ravens Oak Dairy based near Nantwich in Cheshire, which are made from goat, cow, sheep and buffalo milk.
