Bowland Irish Draught Horses are at Closes Hall Farm- a dairy farm with livery stables. Michael is experienced with artificial insemination (A I) of cows and has recently qualified as an A.I. technician for horses. He has been practicing on his own horses for four years with a very high rate of success and last year he decided to add an A.I. Service to his livery yard. Michael has young stock on site from Genus stallions, which can be admired by prospective clients.

For the covering process Michael will work with Dalehead vets who offer a specialist equine service. Mares will be stabled on site where there are 400 acres of grassland. It is anticipated that the mares will be stabled for up to 21 days before insemination and 28 days after for the pregnancy to be confirmed.
